We are a family that loves road trips and camping. What started as a hobby for me, my wife, and our three kids soon became a family tradition every other weekend. Renting an RV every few months never really bothered me, but as the frequency of our road trips increased, I had to shell out ridiculously high amounts on rentals alone. So we decided to invest in an RV of our own. A new one was definitely out of budget, so RV auto auctions were the way to go.
I had heard only good things about salvage vehicle auctions on Autobidmaster. The reviews in the Autobidmaster’s review section were also generally positive about the website. Our neighbor's salvage Mercedes came from the same website and was serving him well four years later. So I decided to chat with him about the viability of buying an RV from Autobidmaster. He sat me down and ran me through their easy registration process. I made an initial deposit to fix my buyer power and hit a search for suitable options. I loved the simplicity with which Autobidmaster functions. It has a convenient vehicle finder tool that filters the entire RV inventory based on various criteria like location, model, damage type and year of manufacture. The vehicle history reports are readily available for prospective buyers to study. I know a fair bit about RVs and the vehicle history report had enough information to check the damage and repairs required. We shortlisted a few RVs from Freightliner and Ford that fit our requirements and budget and did the math on repairs and shipping costs. I placed preliminary bids on all my shortlisted RVs and added the live auction details to my calendar. The first one was indeed a learning experience. These live bids are over in the blink of an eye. So you gotta bid carefully through live bids. I was down to my last two options, with no luck on a purchase yet. I joined the live bid for a Freightliner Chassis X. I certainly had a good feeling about this one. The live bidding was going smoothly and I was certainly in the reckoning, bidding well within my buyer power and budget. The next thing I know, I was the last and the highest bidder for this gorgeous beige RV! It is a diesel vehicle with some rear end and roof damage – nothing that's beyond repair! We were ecstatic – our very own Freightliner RV was coming home! We sorted out shipping and documentation very quickly using the shipping calculator and I received my shipment in 40 days. Now we are taking our new RV for a road trip at the end of the month. Thanks, Autobidmaster, getting our ride ready for all the camping trips we have planned for the future!
